I love going to San Diego for USATF XC events, it’s a great venue for racing. And it was particularly fun to go with my Athletics Boulder teammates Inga, my sister Laura, and my brother-in-law Rick. San Diego has some great vegan restaurants! My race was as good as I could have hoped for as I was limited to cross-training-only for 7 of the preceding 9 weeks leading up to the race due to a calf injury. I can only beat Joe Sheeran if I’m at my best and I was happy with 2nd and to have age-graded as high as I did. It was great to get back out there and I’m really looking forward to the CO USATF XC Championships on 11/2 and Club Nationals on in Bethlehem on 12/14 now that I’m fully healthy. And then it’s back to San Diego for the USATF Cross Country Championships on Jan 18, 2020. Can’t wait!
