Nicholas & Flippin top three; Gessner & O'Grady win masters titles at 100 Mile Champs.

On Friday (19-February) four athletes from Colorado competed in the USATF 100 Mile Championships in Henderson, Nevada.
In the men's race
Alex Nichols
, 36, of Colorado Springs finished second running 13 hours 44 minutes 43 seconds. The men's winner was Arlen Glick of Ohio in a time of 13:10:26.
In the women's race defending champion
Stefanie Flippin
, 32, of Evergreen finished third in a time of 14:34:51. Her time was 30 minutes faster than her winning time last year. The race was won by Camille Herron in a new world record time of 12:41:11. Nicole Monette of Ohio finished second in a time of 14:01:56.
June Gessner
, 69, of Salida and
Janice O'Grady
, 73, of Conifer each won national masters titles. Gessner stopped the clock at 23:26:27 to win the women's 65-69 title while O'Grady ran 32:34:19 to win the 70-74 division.
