I started running track during my freshman year and I initially wanted to be a sprinter. Then my coaches introduced me to the jumps side of track and I immediately fell in love.
The most memorable moment of my high school career was definitely my freshman year at state. I somehow won the triple jump and that’s when I knew this is really something I’d love to continue doing and growing with. Recently I was able to participate in my first track and field indoor nationals competition. I didn’t perform as well as I wanted to and I was extremely upset about it but that meet made me realize that it’s okay to not always be the best. That it’s okay to struggle a little bit. I’ve learned that no matter what the mark is or isn’t, I should remain confident within myself because I know what I’m capable of.
Everyday in Sophomore year 4th period Spanish.
Call me crazy but anything math related. Numbers just make sense to me.
Maybe that I’m double jointed in my toes?
Any form of potatoes.
Definitely the Nile Ethiopian in Aurora. If you’ve never had Ethiopian food this place is 10/10 the best place to start.
I listen to almost everything but I would say my favorite genres might be R&B and Rap.
I love How to Get Away With Murder. It’s definitely my favorite show of all time and Snowfall is a close second
Definitely Instagram for me. I love seeing everyone’s different aesthetics and just seeing what people are up to. Follow me ;) @agur.dwol
Definitely Viola Davis. She is not only my favorite actor but she’s so so intelligent and inspiring. I feel like I could learn a lot from her.
If he were still alive, Chadwick Boseman.
Definitely my parents. They’ve gone through so much to get where they are today and while going through so much and endeavoring so much pain they didn’t let that get in the way of being great parents. They’ve taught me so much and their struggle is what has motivated me the most.
Simone Biles. #GirlBoss
Win a national title.
If I’m being honest I initially didn’t even want to give OU a chance. I’m sorry but the thought of living in Norman just didn’t sound appealing to me but when I actually went out and visited I absolutely loved it. Everyone there was so welcoming and sweet and I realized Norman has so much to offer. OU historically has a great Jumps program and that’s my specialty so that was just the cherry on top. Before I even left back home I knew that this is where I wanted to be for the next four years.
I initially thought that I was gonna end up going to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt had so much to offer and it’s a great school but Oklahoma was just the better pick.
I’m thinking about going down the bio pre-nursing track but I’m not 100% sure yet.
Making money and doing what I love.

I’ve always played sports and when I was in my basketball phase, my coach kept telling me to try track because I would run too fast for the ball. I was really hesitant to start a new sport so late (summer going into 9th grade) because I didn’t want to suck, but one day I was like why not and went to a Parker Panthers track practice. I’ve been doing it ever since!
Definitely my first would be competing in Florida last summer at the USATF Junior Olympic nationals and earning that All American Status. I would also say becoming long jump state champion last year was one of the most beautiful moments along with competing at Penn Relays this past weekend!
It was one of the best meets I’ve been to in terms of the connections I made and my overall performance. I wasn’t able to have a coach come with me but I relied on my experience with all the events and just remembered to stay competitive! It also was my third time ever competing in the heptathlon so that meet was definitely a turning point in my love and passion for the event itself and made me work even harder for this summer’s Outdoor Nationals!
Going on my official collge visits and hanging out with my steadfast family during travel meets!
It’s a tie between Biology or English.
I grew up speaking french!
Anything with hurdles because it seems to hurt less. I would put a 300 hurdle workout at the top!
I love training at Arapahoe High School, the long jump pit there is top tier.
Rice all day.
Any day of the week, I’m rocking with J. Cole or Summer Walker. But I love R&B in general.
Haha anything that’s Top Ten on Netflix, I’m one of those people.
Instagram!
Sydney McLaughlin!
Probably, definitely, Michelle Obama.
My older sister.
Anna Hall, I’m kind of obsessed with her. Only a little though.
To soak everything in and perform to my potential! The awards, marks and times will come with consistency and confidence as the season goes.
A super long list of things like location, campus, team vibe, coaches, the academics of the school etc. But what sold me was the feeling of being at home on my official. No matter what the other schools had to offer, that feeling only comes once for one school and it’s important to listen to it!
I want to major in biology with a focus in pre med!
I can’t imagine being 23 but hopefully I’ll have survived the MCAT and I’m headed to med school, we’ll see how life goes though.
