USATF Colorado has announced the return of the USATF Colorado Grand Prix for 2026, featuring a dynamic six-race series, a continued “home meet” format, and a total of $10,000 in prize money for top-performing clubs and individuals. Now in its sixth year, the Grand Prix continues to elevate friendly club competition across the state, ultimately crowning Colorado’s top running club through a cumulative season-long championship. Each race is hosted by a local club in partnership with race directors, allowing athletes and communities to compete and showcase their strengths on home turf.
Supporting Colorado’s incredible running events is central to our Association’s mission. The 2026 series represents a diverse collection of unique race experiences while continuing to build a strong sense of community through club-hosted events. - Christina Yarmul, USATF Colorado President

A hallmark of the Grand Prix is its age-graded scoring system, which adjusts athletes’ times based on age and gender. Using World Masters Athletics (WMA) scoring tables, runners of all ages compete on a level playing field. Age-graded scoring is used for the individual masters categories as well as the club competition. In the club competition, athletes' times are adjusted for age and gender differences to create age-graded finishing places. The sum of the top 5 places for each team is the team's score; the lowest score wins. There is no limit on the number of athletes that may represent each team. This format encourages intergenerational team-building and strategic depth across club rosters.
