The 2026 USATF Colorado Long Distance Running Grand Prix season is beginning to take shape as athletes prepare for the third race of the six-event series, the Colorado 1 Mile Championships, which will be contested tomorrow in Fort Collins.
After the Colorado 10 km Championships and the Cookie Chase 5K, several familiar names have moved to the top of the Open, Masters, and Club standings. With four races still remaining, the competition remains wide open.
The 2026 Grand Prix schedule features a diverse mix of distances and championship events held throughout Colorado. The series opened with the iconic BOLDERBoulder 10K and will conclude on November 15 at the Wash Park Circuit in Denver.
A total of $10,000 in prize money will be awarded, including $2,000 in club prizes and $8,000 distributed among the top finishers in the Open and Masters divisions.
Billy Ulrich has established himself as the early leader in the Open men's division with 175 points following strong performances in the opening two races. Alex Holm and Reed Fischer are tied for second with 100 points apiece, while Charles Lawrence currently occupies fourth place with 95 points.
Dan Nestor and Spencer Brown are tied for fifth with 90 points, and Patrick Hetlage, Jack Lodermeier, and Benjamin Schneiderman share seventh place with 85 points. Ben Fleming rounds out the top 10 with 80 points.
Katie Nolan leads the Open women's division with 105 points, narrowly ahead of Elise Cranny, who has accumulated 100 points through the first two races.
Abby Levene, Allison Hofstra, and Savannah Shaw are tied for third place with 95 points, while Isabelle Torsiello and Kathryn Fluehr share sixth place with 90 points. Ashley Hofstra and Carmen Graves are tied for eighth place with 85 points, and Grace Falken currently sits in 10th with 80 points.
Frank Zoldak holds the top position in the Masters men's standings with 195 points, while Anthony Bruns remains close behind with 190 points. Brad Cooper currently occupies third place with 130 points.
Taylor Smith and Chris Grauch are tied for fourth with 95 points, followed by Flavio De Simone and Gary Ostwald, tied for sixth with 85 points. Fernando Cabada and Joshua Eberly share eighth place with 80 points, while Jonah Lovendahl and Daniel King are tied for 10th with 75 points.
Kristine Clark has emerged as the leader in the Masters women's competition with a perfect 200 points through the first two races. Emily Inskeep is second with 165 points, while Mary Alice Sparks sits third with 130 points.
Tina Gini Larter and Kelly Joy are tied for fourth place with 95 points, followed by Sarah Morrison and Kristine Leader, tied for sixth with 90 points. Wendy White and Ann Marie Kirkpatrick are tied for eighth with 85 points, while Lesia Atkinson and Shelley McDonald are tied for 10th with 80 points.
The Boulder Road Runners hold the top spot in the club standings with 200 points, but Athletics Boulder remains firmly in contention with 170 points. Fort Collins Running Club sits in third place with 140 points as the series heads to northern Colorado for the next event.
The Track Club Boulder occupies fourth place with 90 points, followed by the 5280 Distance Project, T.E.A.M. Boulder, Rock Creek Track Club, and BOCO Distance Project.
With four races still remaining, competitors will be challenged by a wide variety of distances and surfaces before champions are crowned.
