Results Rachel Rudel captured the first U.S. title of her career on Monday (September 7), winning the women’s race at the USATF 20 km Championships, held as part of the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race in New Haven, Connecticut.
Rudel (Front Range Elite) covered the 20 km course in 1:04:58 to claim the national championship and earn a spot on Team USA for the 2027 World Running Championships.
Biruktayit Degefa (ASICS/Team Harambee) was the next Colorado finisher, placing seventh in 1:07:15, while Amanda Theodore finished ninth in 1:10:25.
On the men’s side, Emad Bashir-Mohammed led the Colorado contingent with a fourth-place finish, clocking 58:51.
Three additional Colorado athletes finished among the top 30. Camren Todd placed 12th in 59:43, followed closely by Andy Wacker, who finished 14th in 59:50. Skylar Stidam rounded out the Colorado results, placing 27th in 1:01:26.
