Competing on the global stage, Lydia McGranahan, 49, of Sheridan, Wyoming, delivered a strong performance at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships held last weekend in BrasÃlia.
Racing in the marathon distance, McGranahan placed 24th overall in the women’s field, clocking a time of 3:57:39. McGranahan, who competes for the High Altitude Race Walk Team, finished as the third American woman in the competition.
It was such an honor to represent the USA, USATF Colorado, and High Altitude Race Walk Team (HART) at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Brasilia,” said McGranahan.
