Colorado athletes delivered standout performances at the 2025 USATF Para Outdoor Championships held July 31–August 2 at Hayward Field, with brothers Jonathan and Jordan Duran of Arvada both landing on the podium in the men’s 1500m T20 division. This was the first year that the Para championships were held in conjunction with the USATF Outdoor Championships.
Jonathan Duran raced to a silver-medal finish in 4:00.88, while his brother Jordan Duran claimed bronze in 4:02.99. The race was won by Paralympian gold medalist Michael Brannigan in 3:48.12.
The T20 classification is designated for athletes with an intellectual impairment, and the 1500m event was one of the most competitive distance races of the meet. The Durans' top-three finishes are a testament to their hard work, consistency, and elite-level training.
