Blair Wins U18 World Mountain Running Cup

Results

On Saturday (14-Jun) four athletes from Colorado represented Team USA in the 18th edition of the International U18 Mountain Running Cup in Donovaly, Slovakia. 

The storyline of day was the dominant individual win by Dylan Blair (Eagle, CO) in the boys race. Blair who finished second at this event last year took the pace out early and won by over one minute on the 5.8 km course that gained 513 feet as it ascended the local ski slope. Blair's winning time was 27:25 as he defeated Italy’s Francesco Gianola by 1 minute and 15 seconds. Tyler Blair, Dylan's twin brother, finished seventh as the Colorado duo led Team USA to a third place team finish.

In the girls race Sky St. Louis of Parker finished 14th and Brenna Jorde of Castle Rock finished 20th. Team USA finished fourth in the team competition just three points shy of a podium finish.
