King Sets American 1500m and 1 Mile Records in California

On Sunday (20-Oct), competing in the Beverly Lewis Memorial Masters and Open Track Meet in Santa Barbara, CA,
Dan King
, 65, of Boulder broke two American M65-69 records. Competing in the masters 1 mile he ran to victory stopping the clock at 5:04.52 to break the existing record of 5:11.74 set in 2016 by Thomas Bernhard. En route passed through the 1500m mark stopping the clock at 4:43.49; bettered the record of 4:46.05 set by Gary Patton in 2011.
King's records are pending ratification by USATF.
