Roebke and Sprout Claim 5000m Titles at NACAC Championships

Sprout's winning time of 14:11.78 establishes a new meet record

Coloradans Layla Roebke (Colorado Springs) and Cole Sprout (Highlands Ranch) each won 5000m titles at the recent NACAC U23 Championships in San Jose, Costa Rica. The championships were held in National Stadium from July 21-23.

Roebke, a 2019 Niwott High School graduate and now a rising junior at Tulsa University, won the women's title running 17:24.61.

In the men's race, Sprout a standout while at Valor Christian and a rising senior at Stanford University, set meet record of 14:11.78 as he easily won.
