Coloradans Win Twelve National Titles at USATF Masters Outdoor Championships in North Carolina

Marenin Nabs Three Titles while Blunt, Echols, Martino, Smith each win two

Results

The 2023 USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships culminated yesterday in Greensboro, North Carolina. 26 athletes from Colorado athletes competed in 54 events during the four-day competition that started on Thursday.

Coloradans won thirteen (13) national titles and earned 17 additional visits to the awards podium for finishing in the top three in their event.

Winning national titles were:

Michael Blunt (M45-49) 100m, 200m
Christel Donley (W85-89) High Jump
Antoine Echols (M40-44) 200m, 400m
Roman Marenin (M40-44) 110mH, 400mH, Long Jump
Marianne Martino (W70-74) 5000m Race Walk, 10 km Race Walk
LaDonna Reed (W45-49) Long Jump
Mary Smith (W80-84 200m) 400m

Athletes scoring over 90% on the age grading tables (indicating their performances were classified as world class) were:

Michael Blunt (M45-49 200m - 22.99) - 90.90%
Marianne Martino (W70-74 10 km Race Walk - 1:06:04) - 90.63%
Michael Blunt (M45-49 100m- 11.33) - 90.46%
Antoine Echols (M40-44 200m - 22.38) - 90.38%
