breaks W70-74 10,000m race walk record by over 2 minutes
Going to Ohio for the 10,000m track race was a sudden decision after the Outdoor National Masters meet in Ames. After entering a new age group last year and no place to compete, I simply couldn’t pass up this opportunity, even though I prefer road racing. Guess you could call it chomping at the bit! I had been training all along and felt that I had a good shot at an American Record. It all came together nicely and I could not be happier. The Ohio Association is known for good meets and this was no exception. My thanks to everyone at USATF Ohio!
