Long-time USATF Colorado member John Green dies

Long-time track & field administrator and coach John Green passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21 after a five-year battle with colon cancer. He was 69.
 
Green, a member of the Colorado Association, held numerous volunteer positions with USATF including Men’s Development Committee chair and Heptathlon/Decathlon Development Committee chair. Since 2018, he was the head coach at Eaglecrest High School in Centennial, Colorado following an assistant coaching stint at Cherokee Trail High School. Green also served as Athletics and Activities Director at Cherry Creek School District for more than 16 years.
 
For more than 31 years, Green owned Over the Divide, a UCS Track & Field equipment seller in the Nebraska-Colorado area.
