Anders and Lincks take open titles at Colorado Half Marathon Trail Championships

DeGrado and Monda turn in top masters performances

Results

The 2021 USATF Colorado Half Marathon Trail Championships were held on September 11 as part of the Black Squirrel Half Marathon in Bellvue.

The overall men's and women's champions were Clint Anders, 31, of Fort Collins and Janelle Lincks, 27, of Thornton.

Anders ran 1:31.28 to outrun Scott Schrader, 37, of Littleton and Eric Monda, 42, of Highland Ranch.  Schrader ran 1:34.04 and Monda ran 1:38.55.

In the women's race Lincks ran 1:40.00 followed by Rachel Mow, 26 of Boulder in 1:54:04 and Kierann Toth, 27, of Fort Collins who ran 1:58:37.

Masters age division champions were:  Eric Monda (M40-44); Anna Wickersham (W40-44); Matthew McHugh (M45-49); Cheryl Aley (W50-54); Rod Switzer (M55-59); Tim DeGrado (M60-64); Richard Park (M65-69); Darunee Pisutadamongkol (W65-69); and Mary Gilbert (W70-74).

Based on age-grading scoring the top masters performances were: 

Men
  • Tim DeGrado (61, 1:56:11, 61.99%) 
  • Erica Monda (42, 1:38:55, 61.58%)
  • Matthew McHugh (46, 1:56:57, 53.84%)
Women
  • Cheryl Aley (53, 2:26:59, 53.32%)
  • Anna Wickersham (41, 2:15:59, 49.93%)
  • Darunee Pisutadamongkol (66, 3:02:03, 49.62%)
