Wacker wins in Wisconsin
results
On Saturday (26-Sept.) five athletes from Colorado competed in the 2020 USATF Half Marathon Trail Championships in Hayward, Wisconsin. The championships were hosted by the Birkie Trail Run Festival.
Colorado male and female athletes collectively claimed three top-3 finishes including a national title by
Andy Wacker
, 32, of Boulder.
Wacker ran to victory in the open men's division running
1:13:55. His time was over four minutes faster than runner-up Adam Condit of Wisconsin.
Nate Anderson
, 62, of Steamboat Springs finished 14th in the open race and fifth in the masters 60-64 division.
In the women's competition
Janelle Lincks
, 26, of Boulder and
Bria Wetsch
, 32, of Broomfield finished second and third, respectively. Lincks stopped the clock at 1:23:16 while Wetsch ran 1:25:36.
CeAnn Udovich
, 21, of Fort Collins finished ninth in a time of 1:44:28. The race was won by Dani Moreno of California in 1:21:28.
