Coloradans Win Eight Titles at Masters Outdoor Championships in Alabama

The 2025 USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships concluded on Sunday (20-July) at Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. A total of 1,192 athletes from all 50 states competed in the four-day national championship.

USATF Colorado was represented by 23 athletes who delivered outstanding performances throughout the meet. Colorado athletes brought home nine national titles and made 21 total trips to the awards podium, earning medals for top-three finishes.

Leading the charge were Marianne Martino, Ashley Jackson, and Mary Smith each capturing two national titles. Christel Donley, a stalwart of masters competition, earned an impressive five silver medals in the W90-94 division, while Adam Feerst completed a rare medal triffecta - gold, silver, and bronze. Jack Pottle (gold and silver) and Carol Wilkinson (silver and bronze) also earned multiple podium finishes.

  • Karen Fletcher (W60-64 High Jump | Drift Motion AC)

  • Carol Wilkinson (W75-79 5000m Race Walk | High Altitude Racewalk)

Age-Graded National Class Performances (80–89%)

Athletes achieving age-graded scores over 80% are considered national class performers. Several Coloradans reached this mark, with Marianne Martino’s 89.81% in the 10 km Race Walk narrowly missing world-class status.

  • 83.73% – Chad Green (M45-49 400m)

  • 83.16% – Adam Feerst (M65-69 2000m Steeplechase)

  • 83.09% – Jack Pottle (M70-74 5000m)

  • 82.75% – Chad Green (M45-49 400m Prelim)
