2025 USATF Colorado Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships

JUNIOR OLYMPIC AGE DIVISIONS

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

USATF Membership
This meet is open to current USATF Colorado member athletes who fall within the age divisions listed above.  Memberships can be obtained online here

Citizenship 
Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships.  See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions. 

Age Division
A competitor must compete in his/her age division only.  Age divisions are determined by year of birth (see above) and NOT age on event day. There will be no "moving up".  

Date of Birth Verification 
Each athlete's date or birth must be verified and included as part of their USATF member profile before the athlete's entry can be submitted. If the athlete's date of birth has been verified in the past and their membership was renewed, then they will be able to submit their entry. Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license or U.S. government identification) needs to be uploaded to the athlete's USATF CONNECT profile.  See USATF Competition Rules, Rule 300.1 (i) for further information.

• Only registered USATF Colorado member clubs may enter a team.  
• All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with that club as part of their USATF membership.  
• To enter a team, a club must complete the team entry/declaration process during online registrations.  
• Only athletes listed on the team declaration roster will be eligible to represent the club at the Association, Regional or National championships.   

REGISTRATION FEES & DEADLINES 

Deadline  by 10/30/2025 at 9:00 A.M. MT (NO LATE ENTRIES)
Fee  $10 per athlete
ONLY ONLINE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

TEAM SCORING

^# the two oldest age divisions (15-16 and 17-18) will be combined (15-18) team division. These divisions will compete together in the same race and athletes will continue to compete in their 2-year division as individuals.

8 athletes on the team entry/declaration form may be declared as scoring athletes.  The top 5 finishers among the declared runners will score to determine the team's final score.

ADVANCEMENT (QUALIFYING) TO REGION 10 AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

REGION 10 CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING

All athletes and teams that participate in the USATF Colorado championships will advance to the USATF Region 10 Junior Olympic Championships (November 15; Santa Ana Pueblo, NM).

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING

The top 30 individuals and top 5 teams from the Region 10 championships will advance to the National Championships (December 13; Shelbyville, IN)
