Results USATF Colorado athletes delivered an outstanding weekend in Albuquerque, combining endurance, speed, and power to produce 22 national titles, an American record, and 60 podium finishes at the 2026 USATF Masters Indoor Championships, held February 19-22 in the Albuquerque Convention Center.
From middle-distance doubles to throwing sweeps and multi-event excellence, Colorado competitors repeatedly stood atop the podium — highlighted by Marianne Martino’s American record race walk performance.
The meet’s most historic moment for Colorado came from Marianne Martino (W75-79), who set a U.S. record in the 1 Mile Race Walk (10:53.25) before returning to win the 3000m Race Walk. The performance underscored Colorado’s continued dominance in masters race walking.
Also noteworthy, Pamela McCartney cleared 1.55m in the W55-59 High Jump — a mark higher than the existing ratified American record of 1.48m. However, it remains below the pending 1.61m record she achieved earlier this season in Boulder.

Colorado’s masters athletes once again demonstrated remarkable depth across every discipline — from sprinting to throwing to distance and race walking. Between Marianne Martino’s American record, Edie Lindeburg’s throwing sweep, and distance doubles from Jack Pottle, Gary Ostwald, Tracey Bernett, and Eugenie Candon, the Albuquerque championships reinforced a familiar truth - Colorado masters athletes remain among the strongest in the nation at every age. Next year's championships will be held in Gainesville, Florida - February 25-28. This year's USATF Masters Outdoor Championships will be held in Geneva, OH -July 16-19.
