Fluehr and Mock Lead Colorado Athletes at USATF Marathon Championships
Results
Colorado athletes produced a series of notable performances at the 2025
USATF Marathon Championships
, held yesterday (7-Dec) in conjunction with the California International Marathon in Sacramento, California. The championships brought together many of the nation’s top athletes, and Colorado competitors distinguished themselves across both the men's and women’s fields.
In the women’s division,
Kathryn Fluehr
(Boulder) delivered the most significant result of the day for Colorado, placing 15th in 2:31:58. Her performance represented a substantial advancement, marking a four-minute personal best.
Claire Benjamin
(Louisville) followed with a 27th-place finish in 2:35:36, with
Courtney Dauwalter
(Leadville), known primarily for her achievements in ultrarunning, placed 70th, recording 2:38:54.
Sarah Anderson
finished 72nd in 2:39:15.
In the men’s division,
Jerrell Mock
(Fort Collins) led the Colorado contingent with an 8th-place finish, crossing the line in 2:11:20. A strong pack of Colorado athletes followed, highlighted by
Emad Bashir-Mohammed
(Aurora), who placed 20th in 2:14:05, and
Benjamin Schneiderman
(Lakewood), who finished 27th in 2:14:25, tying with
Garret Lee
(Littleton) for the same time.
Ryder Searle
(Lakewood) recorded a 33rd-place finish in 2:14:33, further demonstrating the state’s depth.
Additional Colorado athletes finishing inside the top 60 included
Marcus Graham
(Colorado Springs), 46th in 2:15:20;
Alec Baldwin
(Denver), 50th in 2:15:38; and
Charles Remillard
(Denver), 56th in 2:16:11.
