Five Colorado teens named to Team USA for World U18 Mountain Running Championships

Five Colorado members were recently selected to represent Team USA at the upcoming World U18 Mountain Running Championships to be held in Saluzzo, Italy on June 26.  

The Colorado athletes selected were:

GIRLS

Rosie Mucharsky-O’Boyle (Denver, CO)
Milaina Almonte (Edwards, CO)

BOYS

Benjamin Anderson (Highlands Ranch, CO)
William Wachter (Highlands Ranch, CO)
Porter Middaugh (Avon, CO)

Andrew Simmons of Golden will serve as one of two staff leaders for Team USA. Simmons is the head coach of Peak Performance Running in Golden, Colorado.  Three of Simmons' athletes (Mary Fox, Colin Szuch, and Nate Schmitt) have competed in the past editions of the U18 championships.
