Voss and Wilson lead Coloradans at USATF Youth Championships in Georgia
Results
The 2021 USATF Youth Outdoor Championships concluded on Saturday (26-Jun) in Rome, GA.
Seventeen athletes from USATF Colorado competed in the championships. Sixteen (16) of the athletes represent the Brute Force TC.
The top individual placer for the Coloradans was
Finley Voss
(unattached) of Centennial who finished second in the boys 17-18 Javelin Throw. Voss's best throw during the competition was 49.73m (163-2) which, according to Milesplit is the # 5 performance by a Coloradan high schooler (since 2000). Voss just completed his junior year at Arapahoe High School.
Jaylynn Wilson
(Brute Force TC) earned four trips to the awards podium in the 13-14 division. She finished fifth in the 400m (1:00.28); sixth in the 200m (26.47); eighth in the 100m (12.89); and was a member of the third place 4x400m relay team. In the 200m qualifying round she ran a career best time of 26.09. Her previous best was 26.11 from the USATF Colorad All-Comers #4 meet on June 20.
In the girls 11-12 400m,
Malanya Gaines
(Brute Force TC) finished sixth running a career best of 1:06.30. Her previous best was 1:07.37 from the USATF Colorado All-Comers #4 meet on June 20.
The
Brute Force TC
11-12 girls finished second in both the 4x100m (55.61) and 4x400m (4:34.76) relays. Running on the 4x100m squad were

Deajah Aggers
. On the 4x400m Aggers and Smith were joined by
Laila Thomas

Malanya Gaines
