SPECTATORS

  • We love dogs and other pets, but please keep them at home. Loose dogs have a long history of tripping athletes.
  • Please remember that pacing or other forms of assistance to athletes during competition is prohibited. This may result in the athlete's disqualification.
  • Spectators should take great caution not to cross over the running surface during races, but if you must, please be courteous to the runners and give PLENTY of time before you cross or wait until they pass you. Please encourage others to do this as well.
  • Spectators should not go under or over any flagging/fencing set anywhere on the course, including the finish area.
  • Spectators should remain behind the areas marked on the finish stretch at all times.
  • Please take all trash with you as you leave and help by taking any you may see around.

QUALIFYING FOR NATIONALS

The 2026 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships will take place on December 12 in Lafayette, LA. The top 30 individuals in each age division and top five scoring teams at the Region 10 Championships will qualify for the national championships.

Notes:

  • Individuals finishing in the top 30 places who are also members of qualifying teams are not displaced. Therefore, additional individual finishers beyond 30th place may not advance as a result of individuals ahead of them also qualifying as members of a team.
  • A team may advance if it has five or more individuals placing in the top 30 at the Regional Championships.
  • No team finishing beyond fifth place may advance solely because one or more of the first five qualifying teams chooses not to advance.
