Hall, Harris, Manson, Sprout shine at high school nationals in NYC

The Colorado athletes had a succesfull weekend as the competed at the the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York.  28 athletes from Colorado competed.  
The Colorado highlights were:
  • Anna Hall winning the Pentathlon scoring 4209 pts. (meet record) and placing third in the high jump (5-10¾).  Her pentatlon score is the 2nd best score in high school history trailing her national record of 4302 point performance she turned in two weeks ago at the USATF Indoor Championships in New York
  • Max Manson winning the pole vault clearing 17-05½ (#2 mark indoors in Colorado history).  He was just 1 inch off his father's, Pat, state record.  Manson is now the  #18 performer in U.S. history indoors.
  • Cole Sprout finishing 2nd in the 1 mile running 4:06.68, The time establised a new Colorado state record breaking the record set in 2008 by Charles White (Cherry Creek) of over 5 seconds.  Sprout is now the  #14 performer in U.S. history indoors at the distance.
  • Cameron Harris finishing 2nd in the 60m Hurdles running 7.81.  The time cracks the top 50 times run nationally since 2000.
