*****2017 Rocky Mtn. Masters & MID AMERICA MASTERS T&F CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS*****
September 3rd @Dutch Clark Stadium(Track events)/CSU Puelbo(Throws)

The 2017 Mid-America Region and CO Assoc. Rocky Mountain Masters Championship will be held on Sunday September 3rd. As earlier announced a new venue for this years installment had to be found. The championship will be a 1 Day Only meet held at Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo, CO. All running events will be held at Dutch Clark. All throwing events will be held at CSU-Pueblo. There will be no pentathlon or throws pentathon this year. If you need a registration form contact Jim Weed at 

  • To get to Dutch Clark Stadium:
    • From Interstate 25, go west on Colorado 96 (West 4th Street) for about 1.5 miles to Abriendo.
    • Go about 1/4 mile northwest on Abriendo and the stadium is on your right.
  • To get to the CSU Pueblo throws area:
    • From Interstate 25, go east on Colorado 47 for about 2.5 miles to Bonforte (one of the CSU Pueblo exits).
    • Go north on Bonforte for less than 1/4 mile, then right on Bartley.
    • Follow Bartley around CSU Pueblo for about a mile and then turn right on Rawlings.
    • The throws area is on the right (southwest of the football stadium).

Colorado athletes earned numerous medals at the national masters championship meet in Grand Rapids, MI, Jul 14-17:
Sharon Raham - Gold medals - Hammer Throw & Weight Throw; Silver - Javelin, Discus, Shot Put, Long Jump, & High Jump; Bronze - Triple Jump; W 70-74
Marianne Martino - Gold - 5K & 10K race walks
Christel Donley - Gold - Javelin & High Jump; Silver - 100m, Shot Put & Triple Jump; Bronze - Hammer Throw; W80-84

USATF Athletes of the Year
The USATF Masters Committee announced selections of Athletes of the Year for 2015, and Colorado brought home two winners: Jerry Donley in the Men's 80+ category, and Christel Donley in the Women's 80+ category.  This is the first time a husband & wife have won the honors in the same year.  During the year, Jerry competd in 5 different events and won a silver medal in the Masters World Championships; Christel set 2 world and 6 American records, and earned 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal at the world competition.

Great competiton at this meet Aug 29 & 30, 2015 resulted in 45 Mid-America and 38 Rocky Mountain Masters Games records being broken.  Results and updated records ae posted below.
