NEWS

IN THEIR WORDS
Edie Stevenson
I had run the Tulsa 15K two times before (2016 and 2017), but it had been on a different course. This year, I was especially happy to be racing, because I was coming off of 1.5 years of injuries — this was my first serious race in almost 2 years. My coach, Kim Jones, and my PT, Brad Ott, were the key factors in guiding me through my injuries and back to racing. As always, the Tulsa race was difficult, especially the challenging 2 km uphill to the finish, but I just remained focused on running a steady, even pace throughout.  I have run many USATF masters championship races over the past several years, and, though I was very happy with my race result (and my 15 km U.S.record) in Tulsa, I was especially happy to be back running among my USATF friends.
